Cheltenham Liberal Democrat Max Wilkinson visited the University of Gloucestershire’s Francis Close Hall campus to meet future teachers learning their trade.
He took part in a session outlining liberal values, the party’s education policies and the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Max said: “I’d like to thank the students and course leader Rick Millican for their invitation.
“The students asked some very stimulating questions on everything from the allocation of school places and training of teachers through to the future of technology in the classroom and where new schools could be built.
“It was also good to discuss the Liberal Democrat priority of a £15billion Covid catch-up fund, including a £200 voucher for each child to spend on education.”
Max has visited the students as part of his annual calendar of events for several years.
